My friend…

I have a lot of friends…
Each friend has a special place in my heart.
Each friend is dear to me in their own way.
Some are closer than others and some couldn’t be closer if we were related.
For some I know that I am there to minister to them.
For other I know that they are here to minister to me.
And for a few -we are here to minister to each other.

But I am not going to talk about all of those friends.
Just one friend, who with one short statement, has made me question how deep my faith goes.

Last night I was talking to a friend who I’ve not ‘seen’ in months.
My friend has had a hard life
His father has been severely abusive to him, his siblings, and especially his mother.
His mother was an emotional wreck and couldn’t do anything for her children, and she could not leave his father.
After his father had left the family for a while he finally filed for a divorce and left my friend’s mother for a younger woman. (He made SURE that his kids knew that, and told them it was their fault and it was their mother’s fault. -Nothing like putting lemon juice on an already sore wound.) (more…)

My lands! *blushes* I have been given such a compliment and such a gift.

Someone (aka Mrs Michelle) has awarded me with the Blogger Reflection Award.
What an honor!
Mrs Michelle, thank you so much. I appreciate it beyond words!

So, without further ado I shall paste the rules and get on with my awards. 🙂

As for my award, it is called The Blogger Reflection Award. Why? The reason for the title is because this award should make you reflect on five bloggers who have been an encouragement, a source of love, impacted you in some way, and have been a Godly example to you. Five Bloggers who when you reflect on them you get a sense of pride and joy… of knowing them and being blessed by them.

This award is for the best-of-the-best so consider who you pick, carefully. This award should not be given to just anyone. If you’re going to do the award don’t just write a few words and slap it on your blog. Write real thoughts about these bloggers and what they’ve been to you, and if the bloggers you pick have already been given the award, don’t be afraid to give to them again. They deserve it as many times as it’s given.

Rules of participating:
1. Copy this post.
2. Replace [my bloggers with yours] & Reflect on five bloggers and write a least a paragraph about each one.
3. Make sure you link this post so others can read it and the rules.
4. Go leave your chosen bloggers a comment and let them know they’ve been given the award.
5. Put the award icon on your site [below]”

The first blogger who I would like to award would be JavaDawn– She is my mother and has taught me how to blog for Christ. (I know that sounds odd, but it is true.)
Everyday I am inspired by her words of wisdom and the truth that God speaks through her to countless women.
My dear mother, I am blessed beyond words to be your child. Thank you for the examples that you set forth to your daughters, friends, and other sisters in Christ.

Second, I would like to award Mrs Michelle– She is an amazing woman. Although I will admit shamefully, I do not read her blog as often as I would like, I am still yet amazed at how God speaks through you to others as well. You have such an air of kindness about you and I always get excited when I see you have posted on my blog because I know that you have left words of warm wisdom for all of us budding women.

Third, I would like to award my dear friend Chris– She is a young woman of God who is full of wise words and tender teachings, though she may not know it. Chris, dear heart, you have such a gift for writing and God speaks through your writing to me every time I read your work…. even if that is a short blog about life and death. 😉

Fourth, I would like to award the lovely (in face and in heart) Alyosha– She is a wonderful Christian young lady with a heart for Christ and a hug for everyone. *laughs* Alyosha, you are always bouncy and lively, and your active love for God is contagious.

Fifth, I would like to award ‘runner-ups’- I have such a hard time choosing people for this, especially since I want to award this to all of my friends. But most of them aren’t bloggers for content so much as they are bloggers of ‘news’, so that puts a wet cloth on my awarding them. *laughs*
So, for ‘short content’ I would like to award my dearest Laura, my adorable Cait, my hearty Rebekah, my young Erin, my adoring Gracie Bella, and my loving Andrea.

You all are so precious to me, I do not know how I could be so blessed as to be surrounded by all of you girls. I am honored to be able to call you friends, and even more moved still to be able to call you Sister in Christ.

Blessings all my dear ones!

Striving to remain Pure for Him…
In Christ’s love,
~Danica
